About the Florence Program

Florence Program Introduction
Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2010, the Breyer Center for Overseas Studies in Florence is Stanford University’s longest standing center abroad. The relatively small size of the Program as well as the great emphasis it places on the acquisition of the Italian language contribute to an academically challenging and versatile experience which will prove rewarding for a number of majors in the Humanities, in the Social and Political Sciences as well as in Human Biology, Engineering and Computer Sciences.
