Federal & Local Grants
The City of San Josè manages a multitude of federal and local grants in which it receives funding. These grants include:

• Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
• Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
• HOME Investment Partnership (HOME)
• Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA)
• Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS - Permanent Supportive Housing Renewal Grant (HOPWA-PSH)   
• Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)

Locally, the City of San José also administers a Housing Trust Fund that supports primarily homeless activities. The Grants Management Unit is responsible for ensuring that grant recipients of these funds implement, manage, and administer the funds  in accordance with federal, State and local rules and regulations.
