The Pediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Hepatology team diagnoses and manages gastrointestinal (digestive) and liver disorders and nutritional problems in infants and children. We use a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to treat a number of problems, including:

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Recurrent abdominal pain
Diarrheal disorders
Failure-to-thrive (slow physical growth)
Celiac Disease
Constipation
Malabsorptive conditions - food cannot pass properly from the intestine to the body
Inflammatory bowel disease
Peptic ulcer disease
Chronic active hepatitis
Biliary tract disease
Inherited metabolic and immunological defects involving the intestine and liver
Diseases of the pancreas

We also provide:

Training and follow-up support for use of home enteral or parenteral nutrition. A child on enteral nutrition receives a mixture of liquid food through a tube into the stomach or small bowel. A child on parenteral nutrition receives a mixture of liquid food through an intravenous (IV) needle.
