Seed is awarding research funds to members of the Stanford academic council and PhD students from across the university to advance fundamental knowledge about entrepreneurship, innovation, and the growth of firms in developing economies.

Stanford Global Development and Poverty (GDP) Initiative

GDP is a university-wide research initiative. GDP funds multiyear awards to launch promising new research with the potential for scalable, sustainable impact on those living in poverty worldwide.

The GDP Initiative is currently on hold. Applications will not be accepted during the 2016-2017 academic year.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Developing Economies Awards (I-Awards)

I-Awards fund faculty who are pursuing small- or large-scale projects, PhD​ candidates during the implementation phase of a dissertation project, and PhD fellowships during the writing phase of a dissertation project.
