External Funding Sources

National Institutes for Health (NIH)

NIH offers funding opportunities specific to disease area or program and accepts unsolicited proposals. Information about their application basics, process, and funding programs can be found on their Grants & Funding webpage.

K-Kiosk

The K-Kiosk contains information about NIH Career Development Awards, including a listing of funding programs and a "Career Wizard" that helps researchers identify funding programs suited to their particular training and interests.

Grants.gov

Grants.gov is your source to FIND and APPLY for federal grants and serves as a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 grant programs and access to approximately $400 billion in annual awards, including American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding.

Research Management Group (RMG) Funding Calendar

The School of Medicine's RMG site lists upcoming funding opportunities for external sponsored projects that require an internal selection process because of limits placed by sponsors on the number of applications that can be submitted. If you would like to receive funding opportunity notifications, contact Jeanne Heschele to be added to the email distribution list.
