SSRL Experimental Run Schedule

The FY2018 run year begins in mid October on many beam lines. To date we have been able to schedule 400 beam time requests out of the 644 requests submitted (excluding BL4-2, BL6-2, BL5-4, and crystallography beam line schedules which are still being prepared). The SPEAR Operating Schedule (shows holidays, down times, and maintenance/accelerator physics dates) and the X-ray and VUV schedules for the first period are linked below.  Log into the user portal to view and accept individual beam time assignments. The cut off rating on many beam lines is ~1.4/1.5.

Please note these upcoming deadlines to submit beam time requests, new proposals, or proposal extensions:

  • New X-ray/VUV proposals or extension requests due September 1.
  • Macromolecular Crystallography beam time requests for November-February due September 12.
  • X-ray/VUV beam time requests for February-April 2018 due November 8.
  • New Macromolecular Crystallography proposals or extension requests due December 1.
