Why choose Stanford for International Policy?
Dynamic and Collaborative Program
The Master's in International Policy (MIP) is a two-year professional graduate degree program at Stanford University. Small class sizes offer students personalized attention and easy access to faculty and staff. The curriculum allows students to gain core policy skills as well as pursue their individual interests.
The Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI)
MIP is the premier graduate degree program at FSI. The institute is the hub for Stanford scholars who work across disciplines on the world's most important global issues. FSI produces world-class research, engages policy-makers, and trains tomorrow's leaders.
Only at Stanford
Stanford is known for its entrepreneurial character and relationship to Silicon Valley. MIP students have access to innovative opportunities on campus such as Design for Extreme Affordability at the d.school and Stanford Ignite at the Graduate School of Business.
Commitment to Public Problem Solving
MIP Director Francis Fukuyama is one of the organizers of a Working Group of public policy educators who believe that new approaches are needed to solve public problems. Such new approaches are built into the MIP curriculum.
