MIP Only at Stanford Opportunities
Only at Stanford
An experience like no other
Here at Stanford, I feel grateful for the various opportunities to stretch beyond the customary interpretations of "policy". I've studied human-centered design, engineering management, and artificial intelligence all during my time with the MIP program.

MIP Students Enjoy Access to These Programs:
Stanford Ignite
Stanford Ignite is offered in cities around the world and on the Stanford campus, through the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). This certificate program teaches innovators to formulate, develop, and commercialize their ideas. In this program, students are exposed to both the fundamentals of business, and the practical aspects of identifying and evaluating business ideas and moving them forward. Ignite uniquely combines current graduate students and entrepreneurs with innovators, scientists, and engineers from leading companies. MIP students can chose to take part in the Ignite program during the summer or during winter quarter.
Stanford Design School
Stanford's Design School (or d.school) builds on methods from across the field of design to create learning experiences that help people unlock their creative potential and apply it to the world. The d.school's project-based and experiential classes bring together students from all seven schools at Stanford to collaborate and tackle real-world challenges. MIP students can take classes at the d.school that will count towards their degree.
Stanford-Vienna Exchange
The Stanford–Vienna Academic Exchange is an Autumn Quarter exchange program between MIP and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna (DA).
Two second-year students from each institution are selected by application to receive fellowships to spend Autumn Quarter in an academic exchange at the other institution.
The DA is a postgraduate professional school dedicated to preparing talented graduates for international careers and positions of leadership in international affairs. Training areas encompass international relations, political science, international and EU law, economics, history and languages.
