What is the MIP Internship?

The Ford Dorsey Master’s in International Policy program encourages students to secure summer internships that provide work experience focusing on international policy issues within MIP areas of specialization.

Funding

MIP provides a stipend that enables students to work in a professional capacity for organizations offering unpaid or minimally funded summer internships.

MIP Career Development

MIP provides career advising, resources, and platforms that facilitate U.S. and international students exploring careers and searching for jobs, internships and fellowships.

MIP Class of 2021 Summer Internships

The MIP Class of 2021 summer internship search was disrupted by COVID. Even so, students were resourceful and resilient, and most employers were able to modify plans to keep varied opportunities intact. Two students, for example, who worked with the World Bank were able to do so remotely. Here are some stories from the Class of 2021 about their summer work experiences and how they navigated virtual engagement.
