George Davis joined Hotchkis and Wiley Capital Management in 1988 as an investment analyst and later became a portfolio manager. In 2001, George was named chief executive officer. Hotchkis & Wiley is a privately held asset management firm serving institutional and mutual fund clients.

Prior to joining the firm, George was an assistant to the senior partner of RCM Capital Management. He began his career in equity research with internships at Cramer, Rosenthal & McGlynn and Fidelity Management & Research. George received his BA in economics and history and his MBA from Stanford University.

George and his wife, Kelly, who reside in Los Angeles, are past co-chairs of the Stanford Parents Advisory Board. They have two children, Lucy (Stanford ’15) and Clayton (Tulane ’18). In Los Angeles, George serves on the boards of the Saint John’s Hospital Foundation and My Friend’s Place, a resource center for homeless youth. George is a trustee of the United States Equestrian Team Foundation, and a past member of the President’s Council to the United States Golf Association.
