Politicians with integrity, belief in smaller goverment, lower taxes and personal freedom, that is what we stand for.

The real question after all that, what did NBC report? I don't watch network news at all, but I wonder if they could manage to get this out:

NBC: We were expecting more anger, and there isn’t any.

One would think it would about choke them to have to say that.

This was supposed to be on the Saturday night news; I don't watch network news either, but did look on the NBC site for the Brian Williams bit on CPAC. Not a word on this angle - he only showed soundbites from politicians that were slightly taken out of context to look more inflammatory.

It did not surprise me in the least. The narrative is that Tea Partiers and Conservatives are angry. This did not fit, ergo it could not be shown.

What did surprise and hearten me was the honest reaction from the three NBCers. They had a narrative walking in the building, and they recognized that the facts did not match the narrative.

The NBCers were young-ish, mixed gender and race demographics, and very polite and professional. Much more engaging than I expected. Maybe it wasn't network worthy (to NBC), but there were at least three people that day who had their preconceptions challenged. I'll take that.
