Stanford holds contracts with the SEIU Local 2007 union representing higher education workers in dozens of types of positions and the Stanford Deputy Sheriffs Association, which represents members of our Department of Public Safety who are deputized Santa Clara County Sheriffs on the Stanford campus.

Employment policies, pay, and benefits are negotiated every several years and set forth in a contract, thus the distinction of “bargaining unit staff.”
