Research Laboratories

The research laboratories of the faculty in hematology explore many aspects of the biology of malignancies and vascular abnormalities. Basic and translational research programs range from investigations into the function of telomeres, to angiogenesis, thrombosis, oncogene activation, studies on stem cells, and tumor immunology. Opportunities exist for translating the results of research from the laboratory into the clinic to provide new approaches for diagnosis and treatment of hematologic disorders. The faculty in hematology train the next generation of basic, translational, and clinical research investigators in their laboratories.
