LGBTQ Town Hall and Reception
Please join Dean Minor, senior leaders, and your colleagues at a special gathering to discuss the needs of the Stanford Medicine LGBTQ community and ideas for expanding the group’s presence on campus. At this open forum event –– which is co-hosted by the Office of the Dean, the Stanford Medicine Diversity Cabinet, and the medical student organization LGBTQ-Meds. The gathering will be open to all students, trainees, faculty, and staff at Stanford Medicine, and people of all genders and sexual orientations are welcome. After the Town Hall, we invite all participants to continue the conversation over light refreshments at an informal reception.

UPCOMING: March 2018 AAMC StandPoint Survey
Please be sure to participate in the 2018 AAMC StandPoint Faculty Satisfaction and Engagement Survey, launching March 2018. The survey, developed and reviewed by experts in survey design, academic medicine, talent management, and organizational development, grew from a series of in-depth focus groups with medical school clinical and basic science faculty members, provides the opportunity to assess specific areas of faculty engagement, as well as the effectiveness of your institution's talent management policies and practices. This independent, research-based survey is used to diagnose areas of faculty engagement and the effectiveness of faculty-related institutional policies and practices. Stanford Medicine has participated in the survey in 2009 and 2014, leading to several new programs and initiatives based on faculty input.

Stanford School of Medicine Diversity Cabinet
The Stanford School of Medicine Diversity Cabinet is working to enable partnerships across the Medical School Continuum. Diversity activities at SoM are widespread and integrated into medical education curriculum, graduate medical education student activities as well as career development opportunities for faculty. Learn more about the Diversity Cabinet, its members, activities, goals and approach.
CME Course on Unconscious Bias
OFDD has developed this free CME activity which provides education on unconscious bias in the academic medicine workplace. Case studies will explore everyday examples of unconscious bias and explore bias busting strategies to enable learners to understand how to bring the content into their own unique environments. Take the course.
Minority Faculty Networking Luncheons
OFDD hosts lunch with a small group of minority faculty monthly to discuss research and clinical interests, faculty development concerns, and career advice across lines and ranks while providing an opportunity for faculty to get to know each other across different departments and specialties within Stanford.
