Traveling/Working Abroad for Stanford

• Students & post-docs traveling on official Stanford business should consult Stanford’s Gateway to Financial Activities information page.
• Stanford’s Financial Gateway also has several links that may be useful to the student traveling abroad on behalf of Stanford University on its travel resources web page for staff, including Stanford policy on travel to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.
• Stanford also has an online Global Operations Guide geared to faculty and staff traveling for Stanford, but may also be useful for Stanford students/post-docs traveling on official Stanford business. The guide also provides a link to the Export Control policy page.
• Note that Stanford personnel working abroad (including students/post-docs on official business) are still subject to the same existing University policies, including the policies described in the University’s Administrative Guide, the Stanford Bulletin, the Faculty Handbook and the Research Policy Handbook.
