Free Trade Visa Overview

The US has negotiated free trade agreements with a number of countries. These treaties allow an exchange of professionals between the respective countries.

The following free trade visa agreements require a Labor Condition Application (LCA) from the Bechtel International Center in addition to an employment letter before the applicant can apply for the relevant visa. Only the hiring department can request the LCA from the I-Center.

Unless the visa user has a restriction against changing status, it is also possible to convert one’s status to a free trade visa while in the US.
