Report Changes to Personal Information

Immigration regulations require F-1 and J-1 students to report certain information to the Department of Homeland Security. If any of the below scenarios apply to you, please click on the applicable link and follow the instructions.

• Address Changes
• Name / Citizenship Changes
• Dependents Changes (Adding or Removing a dependent)
• Visa Status Changes

If you are on OPT or Academic Training:

• Include your Stanford student ID number and SEVIS ID number in the body of your email communications.
• Enter a secondary non-Stanford e-mail address in Axess that you will check regularly after graduation. The I-Center will use this address to try to reach you long after you have left Stanford (and while still in F or J status). Failure to add this secondary address, will make it impossible for us to communicate, and in many cases, prevent us advising you about a critical visa issue (or updates) which could cause you to violate your legal status!
