Carolyn Tomlin has been in the field of collegiate conferences and events for over 15 years, including service at various institutions prior to coming to Stanford University.  Through her experience, Carolyn has developed expertise in the field of summer conferences, as well as in conference and event planning and management.

During her tenure at Stanford University since 2006, Carolyn served first as a Conference Account Coordinator, then as a Conference Account Manager.  Carolyn was also involved actively in the successful opening of two conference centers, while also providing event and meeting planning services to the campus community.  As the Assistant Director for Youth Programs and Operations Management, Carolyn has oversight of youth sports camps and youth programs promoting academics and leadership.  Carolyn is also responsible for development of processes to ensure successful operations of summer conference programs.

Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism at California State University, Los Angeles. In addition, she is an active member of the Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors – International (ACCED-I), an organization for which Carolyn has served as chair and member to several committees and project teams.  She has also been a presenter for a number of the association’s conferences.
