Alpaca your stuff at move out this year and sort everything you no longer need to be given to those in need in hundreds of Goodwill barrels or trailers near your residence from June 8-20, 2017. Sort everything else you don’t need to be recycled at your waste corral and don’t forget to return your dishes to the Dining Hall. Live Cardinal Green and “give” as you move out and “go” on to your next adventure!

These “thank you” prizes are sponsored by the Office of Sustainability, in recognition of your support of a more Sustainable Stanford. Last year’s Give & Go participants diverted over 97,000 lbs of reusable materials from the landfill. With your help, Stanford hopes to divert even more to those in need!
Give & Get CUPCAKES Event
This year on June 14, from 5 - 8pm on the Cowell Cluster Lawn, next to Theta. Moving out? Donate your (gently used) stuff! Donated mini-fridges and furnishings will be saved for low-income frosh to use in the fall. Clothing, small appliances, etc. will be donated to Goodwill.
Get Ready to "Give & Go"
Save time while helping the local community and reducing waste! R&DE Student Housing has partnered with Goodwill to make it easy for you to "Give" your unwanted clothing and household items that are in good condition to others who can use them as you move out and "Go" on to your next adventure!
The items you drop off at one of over 100 convenient barrels or trailers in or near your residence will serve hundreds of local people in need through Goodwill while reducing waste sent to the landfill. Find out what you can donate here. Make sure to take the larger items (mattresses, futons, mini-fridges, etc.) to your nearest Give & Go Zone (turquoise pins on map above). Borrow a dolly at your Housing Front Desk for easy transport!

Bikes Drop off unwanted bicycles at the Stanford Department of Public Safety (DPS). DPS may donate bikes to local non-profits, or sell them to departments and individuals with Stanford ID at their annual Bike Sales (which can be a great place to find a bike if you need one).
