This award (formerly called the Silver Apple) is presented annually to a member of the GSB faculty for service to the school’s alumni. It is named for Dean emeritus Bob Jaedicke, who joined the GSB as a faculty member in 1961 and served as Acting Dean in 1979 and 1980, and as Dean from 1983 to 1990.
The 2019 Jaedicke Award has been presented to J.D. Schramm on October 4, 2019 during Alumni Weekend.
J.D. Schramm combines over 30 years of professional training and development experience with his personal expertise in management communication to design and deliver a variety of highly interactive courses for students at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. A seasoned communicator, his courses blend the theoretical and practical aspects of effective communication. He teaches graduate level courses in strategic communication and reputation management. Each year he also teaches an introductory seminar to undergraduates on topics ranging from Changing Hearts and Minds, Entrepreneurial Communication, and LGBTQ Leadership Communication.
