The Village Residences (formerly known as Carmel the Village) are available as a full-year option for single graduate students. Single graduate students are assigned to two-bedroom, two-bath units; each two-bedroom apartment houses two students. Apartments are furnished by the university.

The Village Residences is a modern apartment complex in a mixed-use development, conveniently located at the intersection of San Antonio Road and El Camino Real, on the Mountain View/Palo Alto border.  The train station is very close, making commuting to campus very easy.

The apartments are spacious and have central air conditioning as well as a washer and dryer inside of the unit.  The Village Residences offer state of the art amenities, including a tech center, game room, gym, yoga studio, and tanning room.  Students can also take advantage of the open air terrace, private resident lounge, atrium pool, and fireside spa.

Stanford provides high speed internet through Comcast and covers the cost of utilities. Stanford does not provide cable television, telephone, or cost of laundry.

Sublicensing is not permitted within off-campus subsidized apartments.
