Inclusion 2022

In keeping with last year’s initiative, the Diversity and Inclusion Council would like to welcome you to Inclusion 2022, a yearlong virtual celebration of diversity with engaging programming and events to make inclusion a practice across the department.

We would also like to recognize and re-iterate Stanford's land acknowledgment.

Stanford sits on the ancestral land of the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe. This land was and continues to be of great importance to the Ohlone people. Consistent with our values of community and inclusion, we have a responsibility to acknowledge, honor, and make visible the University’s relationship to Native peoples.

Lou Moerner, MA. For over 15 years, Lou Moerner was the Community Wellness Division Director for the Northern California Indian Development Council. Lou is the founding member of the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) American Indian/Alaska Native Health Equity Team, and served for 15 years as Chair of the Tobacco Education Network (TEN), a policy-focused community coalition in Humboldt County.
