A fellow-led committee to support all DOM fellows

The Fellows' College is a fellow-led committee that forms new initiatives, social opportunities and projects that support all fellows. 

Council members act as a liaison to Department of Medicine leadership, and have the opportunity to work on projects aimed at improving the fellowship experience and well-being of their community.

Glenn Chertow, MD
Associate Chair – Fellowship Programs

Dr. Chertow attended Harvard for medical school. He completed his residency and fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He was previously Division Chief for Nephrology. He currently serves as Associate Chair for Fellowship Programs and Professor of Medicine in Nephrology.

 

 

Ami Bhatt, MD PhD
Director –
Fellowship Research

Dr. Bhatt earned her MD and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCSF, and completed her residency and fellowship at Harvard.  She joined Stanford as Assistant Professor in Medicine (Hematology) and Genetics in 2014 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2021. Her research program and lab is dedicated to inspecting, characterizing and dissecting the microbe-human interface.

 

 

Joey Cleveland, MD
Heme/Onc

Dr. Cleveland completed an undergraduate degree in Geological Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin, then attended medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco. His academic interests include both basic science and clinical/translational research, with a focus on precision medicine in the areas of lymphoma and leukemia. He is currently a PGY5 fellow in Hematology/Oncology.

 

 

Jennifer Lee, MD
Critical Care Med

Landy V. Luna Diaz, MD
Pulm/Critical Care

Landy was born and raised in Colombia, she obtained her Medical Degree at Universidad de Cartagena, she then moved to Miami where she worked in clinical research in COPD and A1ATD and completed Internal Medicine at University of Miami. She is currently a PGY-5 fellow completing Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine training.

 

 

Jonathan Hootman, MD
Critical Care Med

Dr. Hootman completed an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then attended medical school at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, Virginia. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Stanford where he served as chief resident and co-chair of the Chief Residents Council. He has a passion for quality improvement and multi-disciplinary collaboration. He is currently a PGY-5 fellow in Critical Care Medicine.

 

Arya Khosravi, MD PhD
Infectious Diseases

Arya completed MD/PhD training at USC/Caltech followed by internal medicine residency at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He currently is a PGY 7 research track fellow in Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine. Working in the laboratory of Paul Bollyky, Arya is studying the role of bacteriophages on chronic pulmonary infections.
