EOM is now... GEM (Go the Extra Mile)

Each and every day staff members make valuable contributions to fuel the scientific advances of faculty and support the Department’s mission to setting the highest standards for patient care, ground-breaking biomedical research, professional education, teaching, and training.   

At each staff meeting, the Department of Medicine will honor staff who contribute to our mission through collaborating effectively, driving quality and excellence and driving innovation and change. The award will be presented at all-staff meetings. 

Click here to access the online form and submit your nominations. Use the online form to submit nominations to the Department of Medicine Staff Engagement committee who will review the nominations. Winners will be announced during the quarterly staff meetings.

Amanda Pecoraro, administrative associate to Steve Asch, MD, vice chief for research in primary care and population health, divides her work days between the Menlo Park VA and Stanford, but her colleagues in MSOB wish they saw her more often. 

Eligibility Criteria:

The nominee must have outstanding performance and demonstrate consistent dedication, initiative, motivation, positive attitude, and customer service to those they support and with whom they interact. All nominees must be active regular staff employees, at 50% FTE or more, employed in the Department of Medicine and in their current role for the previous 12 months

Not eligible:

DFA, Division Managers, Medicine Operations senior managers, faculty, contingent employees, active recognition committee members and previous recognition award winners.

Note: Nominations do not roll over, so please re-nominate employees who have not won.
