Because of the complexities involved in conflict prevention and response, no single government entity can offer all of the relevant expertise necessary to achieve our reconstruction and stabilization objectives.
In order to adequately address these complexities and leverage all available resources of the U.S. government to our missions, the Civilian Response Corps is comprised of a partnership of eight departments and agencies from around the federal government:
Corps members go through weeks of extensive training and are specially selected, prepared, and equipped to deploy and operate in hazardous and austere environments with little or no notice.
Corps members deploy equipped with the skills, support, experience, lessons learned and best practices of eight agencies in the following critical fields:
