Women Faculty Networking Luncheon: Persis Drell

Persis Drell, PhD, Provost for Stanford University and Professor, Materials Science and Engineering and of Physics.

Provost Drell is the former dean of the Stanford School of Engineering and the former director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory at Stanford. In her prior positions, she has focused on increasing the participation of women and underrepresented minorities in engineering and she currently seeks to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for students of all backgrounds in the school. Provost Drell oversees the university's instructional and research programs and coordinates campus administrative and support functions with academic purposes.
