Our 3,000 square foot Fitness Center is equipped with commercial quality cardio and weight training equipment such as:

  • treadmills
  • exercise bikes
  • rowing machines
  • a multi-gym weight machine
  • free weights
  • upper-body exerciser
  • cross trainers
  • strength and stretching area with mats and fitness balls
  • a Wii game system for quick round of bowling or tennis

Many pieces of equipment are wheelchair accessible.  Operation manuals of the equipment in the Fitness Center, as well as a Fitness Orientation video is available at the "Check-in" table.

Based of the information provided by the registrant, some registration forms may require supervisory review prior to registration being processed.

ID Fit Program

Santa Clara residents under the age of 50 with a qualifying disability or medical condition may utilize the Fitness Center and Natatorium.  A completed Registration and Release of Liability Form is reviewed by the Therapeutics Services Supervisor for approval.  For more information on the requirements of the ID Fit Program, read through the Senior Center Guidelines for Use.

Personal Care Attendants (PCA)

The role of a Personal Care Attendant is to support those who require assistance to participate in Senior Center programs and activities.  PCAs are provided by the participant and must be capable of performing all necessary tasks/activities in order to meet the needs of the participant.  A Registration and Release of Liability Form must be completed and submitted to the Front Office Desk prior to becoming a PCA.  The registration form is reviewed by the Therapeutics Services Supervisor for approval.  For more information on the requirements and criteria of Personal Care Attendants, read through the Senior Center Guidelines for Use.

Donations

Donations are accepted and are used to continue our high quality programs.  You can even donate to a specific program of your choice by indicating the program you want to benefit from your donation.

Donations of $100 or less are accepted at the Senior Center.  Donations to the Senior Center in excess of $100 are presented for acceptance to the Santa Clara City Council.

Monetary donations can be mailed to 1303 Fremont Street, Santa Clara, CA 95050.  Checks should be made payable to the City of Santa Clara.
