Getting Around

With so much to do in and around Santa Clara, you are going to need to find some ways to get here and there.  If you are booking your flights to come to the game, or if you are boarding a train to get around, we've pulled together some helpful tips on making traveling to and through Santa Clara easy and totally possible.

Transit Center

Residents of Santa Clara have convenient access to regional public transportation systems at the Santa Clara Station, 1001 Railroad Avenue, adjacent to the site of the historic Santa Clara Depot.  At this station, residents can connect with Caltrain, the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) train, and VTA buses.  There is a free shuttle between the Santa Clara Station and the San Jose Mineta International Airport.

Transportation for Seniors

Residents who are 59 years of age or older and need transportation assistance can call Heart of the Valley for escorted rides to and from their destinations.  Reservations must be made seven days in advance.  To schedule, call 408-241-1571.  The City of Santa Clara also subsidizes the fees paid by senior and disabled residents who use the Outreach transportation service.

Bicycles

The City of Santa Clara contains 23.6 miles of bike lanes, 5.8 miles of bike routes and 9.3 miles of recreational paths--and publishes a bicycle map to show their locations.

Getting Here By Plane

Santa Clara is easily accessible by air thanks to nearby Norman Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) with a total of 965 weekly flights, including non-stop international service to Beijing, Tokyo and Guadalajara, Mexico.  Santa Clara is also servied by San Francisco International Airport, just up Highway 101.
