VTA Adds Midday Service to Line 58

|

Getting to homes and businesses between Alviso and north Santa Clara just got easier outside of commute hours, thanks to new midday service along a portion of Bus Line 58.

VTA began running this additional midday bus service on Oct. 13, and now workers and residents in the growing North San Jose and North Santa Clara areas can take the Line 58 to popular lunch destinations or run errands more easily.

The route provides transit service to connect to light rail and other bus routes, as well as to commercial destinations. The line takes passengers to Target and restaurants in the @First Shopping Center along First Street, to River Mark and to restaurants in Alviso.

The midday service runs every 30 minutes from about 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and is a result of our quarterly service review, in which VTA assesses ridership on our routes and passenger needs across the entire system.

A schedule and map of the route can be found on VTA's website.
