Sunken Gardens Golf Course Restaurant and Bar Now Open 

The City is excited to announce that the Sunken Gardens Golf Course Restaurant, Gold Rush Eatery is now open. The Sunken Gardens Golf Course is located at 1010. S. Wolfe Rd. For more information regarding the new restaurant and operating hours, call (408) 743-5336.

Sunnyvale Golf Course Restaurant and Bar Temporarily Closed 

The City is currently in the process of selecting a new vendor and we hope to re-open the restaurant later this year.  Additional information regarding the re-opening schedule will be posted as it becomes available. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Water Conservation

The Sunnyvale Parks Division (Parks, Golf & Street Trees) is making a concerted and ongoing effort to conserve water by utilizing a variety of best management practices.  Council has required a 15% reduction in water use when compared to the previous year's use and the Parks Division has saved 26% from July 2014 through March 2015. Be aware that savings are calculated collectively and water use may vary from park to park depending upon the features in each one and their use. In each park some features that use water may be operative while others are not.  For example, Serra Park has a pond and creek that is not filled with water while the children's water play area next to the playground is functional. In this case the difference is the primary purpose of the feature, the pond is meant to enhance the attractiveness of the park and the water play feature is provided for recreational use.

Please help us by reporting any water leaks or related problems at Parks or (408) 730-7506.  Report leaks or broken irrigation or plumbing after regular work hours to the Department of Public Safety at (408) 730-7180. Note that although irrigation is done at night, it is occasionally done during the day while troubleshooting and repairing problems with the irrigation system.

Current Discounts and Promotions

• Kids Play Free Junior golfers, aged 16 and under, will be allowed to play free of charge when accompanied by a paying or monthly card carrying adult (one no charge junior per adult only). This promotion will be allowed at both courses, 7 days per week, with no time restrictions. This discount program only applies to green fees. Standard fees will be charged for other items such as cart rentals, club rentals, range balls, etc. 
• Single Round Senior Rate Sunnyvale Golf Course is offering a $27 single round rate for seniors aged 60 and over. This $10 discount is available Monday through Friday.

Our Courses

The City of Sunnyvale offers 27 challenging holes to the golfing public, on two courses.

Sunnyvale Golf Course Sunnyvale Golf Course is a par 70 regulation 18-hole course with numerous bunkers, dog legs and water holes. Sunnyvale is a well-manicured test of the player's skill stretching out to 6,255 yards.

Sunken Gardens Golf Course Sunken Gardens Golf Course is a 9-hole, 1,502 yard executive course. Sunken Gardens is ideal for the beginner golfer with ample practice facilities and shorter length holes. Sunken Gardens Driving Range The driving range is open 364 days a year from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. (except Wednesday’s closings are at 7 p.m. and Thursday’s openings are at 9:30 a.m.). 18 range stalls are available to the public for practice, warm-up before play, or for exercise/therapy. Golf clubs, if needed, are available at no extra charge. Please note that the range is well lit for evening practice.

Reservations

Weekdays: Sunnyvale residents may place reservations for weekday play beginning seven days in advance in person when the pro shop opens for the day until 6:30 a.m. All golfers may place phone reservations after 6:30 a.m. seven days in advance.

Weekends and Holidays: Sunnyvale residents may place reservations for weekend/holiday play beginning Monday prior to the weekend/ holiday in person from 6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. All golfers may place phone reservations beginning 6:30 a.m. on that same Monday.

Monthly Discount Cards

Monthly Discount Cards offer unlimited play Monday through Thursday for each calendar month (excluding holidays) for a reduced one time fee. Sunnyvale Advantage Card for any Sunnyvale resident (residency verification required) are available from ages 17 to 59. Golf Discount Card is available for any golfer (Sunnyvale resident or not) 16 years and under, 60 years and over, or disabled.
