Biodesign: The Process of Innovating Medical Technologies - 2nd Edition

Biodesign TextbookCambridge University Press published our textbook, Biodesign the Process of Innovating Medical Technologies on October 1, 2009. The 2nd Edition (pictured left) was published on January 31, 2015. The authors come from the faculty of the Biodesign Program: Paul Yock, Josh Makower, Stefanos Zenios, Todd Brinton, Tom Krummel and Uday Kumar. Lyn Denend is the Principal Writer. Christine Kurihara is the web editor: a companion website has been released with the book: http://www.ebiodesign.org/. The companion website includes over 290 videos depicting different elements of the process.

The textbook contains 29 chapters on each step of the process of innovating medical devices from needs finding and screening to business models and funding. Each chapter also includes an online 'Getting Started' section with the basic steps to take at that stage of the process.

As of 2015 we had sold 9200 hardcover and 1,024 eversions when the 2nd edition was published.
