Are you a librarian superhero?  Gale and Cengage Learning are honoring four outstanding librarians nominated for the Librarian Superhero contest.

Lauren Maggio of Lane Medical Library was selected as the Academic Librarian Superhero this year.  Lauren (aka Access) was nominated for her work with medical students, faculty, and residents, plus her leadership role in global health information literacy.

Gale’s Librarian Superhero contest is designed “to recognize the often heroic efforts put forth by librarians around the country, and to encourage other feats of greatness. Gale is calling on everyone – fellow librarians, library patrons, students and school administrators – to nominate a superhero librarian who is making a real difference for their library and community.”
