Using SMART Board Software

SMART Meeting Pro

All workstations connected to SMART Boards are equipped with SMART Meeting Pro 4 whiteboard and collaboration software.  Meeting Pro will automatically start when you log into any of these computers.  The menu along the left hand side of each screen allows you to select the operating mode on that particular screen.  You can also use the included SMART Bridgit software and CIFE's Bridgit server to set up meetings and share screens with computers elsewhere in the iRoom or with other users on the Stanford campus or elsewhere in the world.

SMART Bridgit

CIFE has a SMART Bridgit Server located at http://cife-host.stanford.edu:9980.  Meeting Pro automatically creates a Bridgit meeting when it starts, the meeting name and the password are displayed in the Meeting Pro toolbar at the top of the screen.  If you are on a computer that has Meeting Pro running (all of the computers connected to SMART boards do so by default), always use Meeting Pro to set up a new meeting or connect to an existing meeting.

To connect to an existing meeting from a computer that does not have Meeting Pro installed, visit http://cife-host.stanford.edu:9980, download and run the Bridgit software.  When prompted, select the meeting name, and provide the password (if needed).

NOTE: Computers connected to the Stanford Visitor wireless network will be unable to connect to the CIFE Bridgit server due to firewall restrictions.  The CIFE Bridgit server may be accessed using a cellular data network or from off campus.
