Join us as we kick off 2019 with a presentation on Stanford University Press. Alan Harvey will give a brief history of the Press and an overview of their operations in Redwood City, with focus on recent developments within the book publishing industry at large. Specific programs, such as the Stanford Briefs, Redwood Press, and supDigital (the Press' new program of interactive scholarly works) will also be explored.

Join us for the next Concierge session to discover the magic, and unravel the mysteries, of SearchWorks. The SearchWorks team recently finished a five-month long project during which they implemented several new features and enhancements. You will learn about some of these new and exciting features, as well as the processes by which improvements to SearchWorks are conceived, designed, and implemented. You will also hear what happens when you submit feedback, how that feedback is processed and considered, and when that feedback is turned into action.

Stanford to host renowned Taiwanese author Pai Hsien-yung

Stanford University will host two lectures by the renowned scholar and author Pai Hsien-yung on 10/24 and 10/25.  A documentary on Prof. Pai's life and scholarship will be screened at the East Asia Library on the evening of 10/23.
