Evaluation & Learning Officer

Mari helps to manage the foundation’s practices in monitoring, evaluation and learning, as well as financial due diligence for foundation grantees.

Before joining the foundation, Mari worked in Malawi as a Blakeley Foundation Fellow in monitoring and evaluation for Population Services International (PSI), for which she designed and implemented a monitoring system for a family planning social franchise program. She has also served as a finance consultant for Catholic Relief Services, El Salvador, and as a Program Officer based in the U.S. and South Sudan at Africa ELI, an international education NGO.

Mari holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where she focused on monitoring and evaluation and global health. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from Bates College.
