Forty percent (40%) of the Transportation Fund for Clean Air (TFCA) fund revenues are distributed to this County Program Manager Fund.
Funding for this program is offered through the Transportation Fund for Clean Air (TFCA) on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds have been spent. Applications should be submitted to your county’s Congestion Management Agency program manager and must be complete to be considered for funding.
Project Types
Funds are available for the following project types:
- Ridesharing - includes shuttle, vanpool, carpool, transit, rail-bus, and smart growth projects.
- Clean air vehicles and infrastructure - includes alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles, scrapping old vehicles, and alternative fuel infrastructure.
- Bicycles - includes bicycle paths/lanes/routes, lockers and racks, and new bicycle purchases.
- Arterial management - includes signal timing and transit vehicle signal prioritization.
- Engine replacement (repower) and retrofit - replace an old engine with a new, emission-certified engine or retrofit it with an emission control device.

Eligibility
Public agencies in the Air District’s jurisdiction can apply for funds. Non-public entities may be eligible for funds for certain clean air vehicle projects.
