Capital Assets

If you manage capital assets, you must know:

• Our funding agencies require us to track capital assets from their purchase to retirement. This includes leased, loaned and donated equipment.
• Capital assets must be entered into the Sunflower Asset Management System, tagged with a Stanford University bar code property tag and, their location and use status be updated.

• The Property Management Office is responsible for property (capital assets) administration.
