Single Undergraduate Housing

Single and shared rooms in residence halls and apartments. All rooms and apartments are furnished.

576 Alvarado Cooperative

  • For continuing Stanford undergraduates with 10-week contracts only – priority to current Stanford co-op residents.
  • Single occupancy, one-room double occupancy, and one-room triple occupancy rooms.
  • Available for 10-week session and for summer-autumn interim housing
  • Co-op board plan required.
  • As this is a cooperative house, all cooking and cleaning is done by the residents.

Branner Hall

  • For students participating in the Stanford Summer International Honors Program only.
  • Branner has mainly two-room double-occupancy rooms.
  • Available for the 8-week session only.
  • Dining plan required.

Crothers Hall

  • Single- and double-occupancy standard rooms in a centrally located traditional residence hall.
  • Although this residence consists of two buildings, only one will be used for student housing this summer.
  • Available for 8- or 10-week session, plus summer-autumn interim housing.
  • Dining plan required.

Governor's Corner - Residence Halls and Independent Houses

  • The Independent Houses (EAST, Murray, and Yost) and the Sterling Quad residences (Adams, Potter, Robinson, and Schiff) have single occupancy, two-room double occupancy, one-room double occupancy and one-room triple occupancy rooms.
  • Available for 8- or 10-week session, plus summer-autumn interim housing.
  • Dining plan required.

Governor's Corner - Suites

  • Four-, six-, and eight-bedroom suites, each with a living room and bathroom in an apartment-style building. Each student has a small private bedroom.
  • Priority for assignment is to groups of four for the four- and eight-bedroom suites and to groups of three for the six-bedroom suites.
  • Available for 8- or 10-week session only; Approximately half of the suites will only be available for the 8-week session due to a carpet replacement project. If you have a 10-week contract, you may have to move at the end of the 8-week session.  The Suites are not available for summer-autumn interim housing.
  • Dining plan required.

Mirrielees Apartments

  • For continuing Stanford undergraduates only.
  • Two-bedroom double occupancy or three-bedroom triple occupancy apartments
  • Available for 8- or 10-week session only; not available for summer-autumn interim housing.
  • No dining plan required

Oak Creek Apartments

  • For older undergraduates only (who will be 21 by June 20) - priority to continuing Stanford undergraduates.
  • These apartments are located just off campus, off Sand Hill Road in Palo Alto.
  • Two-bedroom apartments shared by three students.  Each apartment has a full kitchen, living room, dining area, and one or two bathrooms.  Apartments with one bathroom are priced lower than apartments with two bathrooms.
  • Available for 8- or 10-week session only; not available for summer-autumn interim housing.
  • No dining plan required.

Summer College Residence Hall

  • For High School Summer College program participants only
  • Located in Florence Moore Hall and one house of Wilbur Hall
  • Mostly one-room double occupancy rooms, with some single-occupancy rooms and a few triple-occupancy rooms
  • Available for 8-week session only (longer if taking a course which extends past August 16).
  • Dining plan required.

Apartment homes ranging from single-occupancy studios to four-bedroom apartments shared with other graduate-level students.

Escondido South

  • Two bedroom/one bath, double occupancy
  • Two bedroom/one bath, triple occupancy
  • Three bedroom/one bath, triple occupancy
  • Four bedroom/one bath, quadruple occupancy

Escondido Village

  • Junior studio with private bedroom and bathroom, shared kitchen
  • Standard studio, single occupancy (available only to students assigned to Escondido Village standard studio apartments for 2014-15 or 2015-16)
  • Two bedroom/one bath, double occupancy
  • Two bedroom/two bath, double occupancy
  • Two bedroom/one bath efficiency, double occupancy
  • Two bedroom/one bath, triple occupancy
  • Three bedroom/one bath, triple occupancy

Lyman

  • Two bedroom/one bath, double occupancy

Munger

  • ​Studio – premium, single occupancy
  • Studio – standard, single occupancy
  • Two bedroom/two bath, double occupancy
  • Four bedroom/four bath, quadruple occupancy

Rains

  • Two bedroom/one bath, double occupancy

Couples without Children

Primarily one-bedroom apartments – all are furnished. Some apartments are in the Oak Creek apartment complex,  located adjacent to campus on Sand Hill Road.

Escondido Village

  • One bedroom/one bath, low-rise
  • One bedroom/one bath with den, low-rise
  • One bedroom/one bath, mid-rise

Munger

Oak Creek

Students with Children

Assignments are predominately to two-bedroom apartments in Escondido Village. All apartments are furnished. Students with one child may apply for a two bedroom apartment and students with two or three children may apply for two bedroom apartments and/or one of the few three bedroom apartments. As needed, we will offer additional housing in furnished two bedroom apartments at Oak Creek, a complex located adjacent to campus on Sand Hill Road.
