What I collect and why

Two recent publications with imagery from the Digital Production Group in the Stanford University Libraries have won awards from the Visual Media Alliance's 2013 Showcase of Print/Design Excellence. Both awards were given to Marianne Hinckle of Hinckle & Sons Printing Office/Ano Nuevo Island Press. The silver award was given to her publication, "Maps, What I Collect and Why" that was given out as a keepsake in celebration of the Glen McLaughlin California as an Island map collection coming to Stanford. The bronze award was given to the "Great Siege of Malta 1565" poster designed for the Knights of St. John. Copies of both of these pieces are available at the Branner Earth Sciences Library.

Congratulations on the good work by all of the people in the scanning labs who had a hand in making the beautiful images included in these fine pieces!
