Marina Verdian has resigned her position as Special Project Manager, and will be leaving SUL as of December 1st. The Facilities team is very sad to see her go, particularly during Big Game week, since she will be leaving us to take on the position of Facilities Director at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley! Rivalries aside, this is an excellent opportunity for Marina, and I hope you will join me in congratulating her on her new role.
In her years at Stanford, Marina has been most visible in her role as SUL's Project Manager for the move to Lathrop. The notable success of that project is due in large part to her diligent and persistent efforts. She also managed the move of shelving from Bennett to Newark, supported the move of the Math Library into Falconer Library, and has been actively engaged in emergency planning for all of SUL. Her work has been of consistently high quality, which is very much appreciated. We wish her the best as she takes on new challenges across the bay.
